New Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino says he does not expect “a big change” in personnel after the club’s £105m outlay last summer.

Director of football Franco Baldini and former head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, oversaw seven new signings last summer following the departure of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid for a world record fee.

However, Pochettino does not foresee another significant overhaul to the playing staff at White Hart Lane.

Asked ahead of Spurs’ friendly against Seattle Sounders tonight how many additions he expected to make to his squad this summer, Pochettino replied: "Not many. We have a very good and big squad.

“Last summer the club made a big effort during the window and I believe in these players. We are always looking to improve but we don't expect big change."

The Argentine continued: "It's a different club to Southampton. Tottenham is a bigger club and we need to win, but not only win, we need to create a good philosophy. Our philosophy is exciting football, pressing attacking football.

"This is our target for the moment. During the season the targets will come."

Spurs have been heavily linked with Swansea City left-back Ben Davies, with various reports suggesting a fee of around £10m has been agreed between the two clubs.

Lille’s Belgian forward Divock Origi is another mooted target, as well as international team-mate and Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku.
