Ninety runners took part in the 198th Grovelands Park Run, with 20 personal bests recorded on Saturday.

Richard MacCaulay came out on top for the men, finishing first in a time of 18.02 to par his personal best, with first-timer Ben Albon close behind in a time of 18.16.

Andy Betton rounded off the top three by crossing the line in 19.30 - enough to equal his previous personal best.

Placing first for the women was Sonia Spearing, who recorded a time of 21.43.

Vanessa Anthony was second over the line in 23.17, whilst Elaine Pitter was third in 24.09.

The race was also a milestone event for two runners - Stephen Lloyd-Jones (23.32) and Gill Beadle (35.28) - both of whom completed their 100th run.

Roger Doxey was presented with the Sweatshop Prize winner of the month award. Doxey has been running since March 2012 but has recently turned his hand to volunteering too.
