Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Glenn Hoddle has backed Southampton's Mauricio Pochettino to replace the sacked Tim Sherwood

Former Spurs boss says Mauricio Pochettino could 'do wonders' at White Hart Lane, if he succeeds Tim Sherwood.
The Argentine, who currently manages Southampton, has been heavily linked with the head coach role at Spurs following Sherwood's departure.
Hoddle, who managed Spurs between 2001 and 2003 has thrown his full weight behind the former Espanyol boss.
I think Pochettino is a super young manager," Hoddle told talkSPORT.
"He has done a brilliant job at Southampton and I think he would be a very good acquisition for Tottenham.
"I’ve been very impressed with the way he’s had Southampton playing this year, and I think with the squad at Tottenham I think he could do real wonders there."
Whoever succeeds Sherwood will be chairman Daniel Levy's eight permanent appointment as manager and Hoddle believes that is part of the problem.
"I think Spurs have to look at some continuity in the long-term and if they don’t do that they’ll struggle," admitted the former Tottenham midfielder.
"Changing the manager too many times in a short period of time isn’t healthy for the club or the success the fans want."
