Spurs have confirmed that Emmanuel Adebayor returned to first team training today and will be in contention for Sunday's Premier League clash with Sunderland.
The Togolese has missed Tottenham's last three fixtures with a heel injury, but could be in line to make his return at White Hart Lane this weekend.
"It's great to see him back out there," head coach Tim Sherwood told the club's official site.
"We'll continue to assess him as the week progresses and hopefully he'll then be back in contention against Sunderland.
"He's obviously been a big miss. He's been outstanding for us."
The powerful forward has scored eight times in the Premier League in just 14 starts this term.
