Liam Proudlock continued his strong form since returning from injury with an impressive victory at Saturday’s Grovelands park run.
Proudlock was running in his fourth race since returning to action and he stopped the clock in 17.50 which was enough to seal first place ahead of runner-up Danny Norman who finished with a time of 18.01.
The top three was rounded off by Jason Maloney of Trent Park Running Club as he crossed the line in 18.15.
Libby Marchant, who was competing in her first Grovelands event, was the first lady home and sixth overall as she clocked 20.31. Lucy Owen was second and tenth overall with 20.59 while Aoife Thompson was third and 25th overall with 24.17.
Giovanni Ionta remains the leader in the men’s annual point’s competition with 2591 points. Sal Ozsakin is second with 2162 points while Malcolm Edwards is third with 2095.
In the women's standings Vanessa Goodwin-Matthews is first with 2467 while Jan Hickman (1930) and Helen Dougherty (1920) complete the top three.
