Saracens winger James Short has joined London Wasps on loan until the end of the season.

Short, who is dual registered with Bedford Blues, has struggled to establish himself in the Men in Black first team this season.

The 24-year-old told the Times Series last month that he was "frustrated" and would consider a move to gain more regular playing time.

Wasps boss Dai Young said: "We've been very unlucky with injuries to key players in our back-line.

"James is a very experienced Premiership player and adding him to our wing options means a few of our versatile backs could provide backup in others areas as well, so we're very pleased to bring him in for the rest of the season."
