Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall believes Marcelo Bosch will be an 'important' signing for the Men in Black
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall believes Marcelo Bosch will prove an important signing as the club navigates its way through a busy international calendar this season.
Six Saracens players were called up to the England squad today and McCall believes the extra cover will be beneficial, particularly when players leave for international duty.
"He's a really important signing for the club," McCall said.
"We have a lot of backs who will play a lot of international rugby for long periods in the season – him included from time to time.
"But those important months in February and March when Duncan Taylor is pushing for the Scotland squad and we've also got Chris Ashton, Joel Tomkins, Brad Barritt, Alex Goode and Owen Farrell all away - we really need some to have some quality players who cans step up there."
Bosch has 23 caps for Argentina and McCall is sure his versatility will prove invaluable across the season.
"Outside centre is his preferred position," McCall said. "I thought he played really well for Argentina there in the last couple of test matches in particular.
"But he can play 12, he can play ten, he can play 15 so it’s a quality, flexible player we’ve got."
