Will Fraser's shoulder injury not a recurrence of previous tear; Saracens flanker expected back within weeks
Will Fraser's shoulder injury is not as serious as first feared and the Saracens flanker is expected back within weeks, the Times Series understands.
Fraser was forced off after just 33 minutes against Connacht on Friday with what looked to be a recurrence of a shoulder tear that kept the 23-year-old out for five months from the end of last season.
The Sarries man underwent scans early this week however and results show the injury came from some nerve weakness caused by surgery carried out over the summer.
Fraser will not be available for this Friday's crunch Heineken Cup match against Toulouse at Wembley.
He is hoping to be back in training next week however and could even return for the Premiership match away at Northampton Saints on Saturday, October 26.
