Tottenham Hotspur get permission to discuss move with Ajax's Christian Eriksen

Ajax have given Tottenham permission to speak to their highly-rated young midfielder Christian Eriksen, though a price has yet to be agreed.
Eriksen, 21, has been on Spurs’ radar for some time now and the Danish international has now been given permission to discuss personal terms ahead of a move to White Hart Lane.
Former Arsenal winger Marc Overmars, now director of football at the Amsterdam club, told de Telegraaf Spurs had been given permission to speak to the midfielder.
He said: “Yes, Levy was here and Eriksen has been given permission to speak to Tottenham.”
"There is no agreement yet until it's signed.
"Obviously, if it happens, we won't be happy at all to lose him but he only has a year left on his contract."
Spurs are believed to have offered a fee in the region of £8m for the attacking midfielder, but Ajax are holding out for closer to £12m, despite Eriksen having less than a year remaining on his contract at the Amsterdam ArenA.
