Spurs have completed the signing of Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old central midfielder arrives from the French club with Tom Huddlestone completing his permanent switch to Hull City and Jake Livermore joining the Tigers on a season-long loan.
Capoue, a seven-cap French international, was a regular for Toulouse last term, making 34 starts in Ligue 1, scoring seven times in the process.
The 6ft 2in defensive midfielder made 173 league appearances scoring ten times during his six-year spell with Toulouse, who finished tenth in Ligue 1 last term.
Meanwhile, Huddlestone has joined Hull City on a three-year deal for a fee of £5.25m and told the club’s official website that he was joining at an ‘exciting time’.
“These are obviously very exciting times for the club and for me,” said Huddlestone.
The 26 year-old continued: “There were a few teams interested in signing me, but I had the chance to speak to [manager] Steve Bruce. I liked his ideas, the role he saw for me within the team and how he wants the team to play. Speaking to the manager here was the thing that made my mind up to come here really.”
Joining Huddlestone at the KC Stadium is 23 year-old England international, Jake Livermore, who joins on a season-long loan.
