Enfield table tennis player Denise Payet victorious as London Schools Table Tennis Championships

Enfield table tennis player Denise Payet celebrated victory in the Under-13’s category at the Jack Petchey Foundation London Schools Table Tennis Championships singles.

More than 47 players from schools across Enfield, Barnet, Haringey and Waltham Forest were in action at the event which was held at London Academy School, Edgware.

Payet, who is a pupil at Enfield County School, said. “I have been playing table tennis for about three years and I play at Ellenborough Table Tennis Club.

“It is enjoyable and fun particularly when you win. It’s great to have your photo taken and I had a really good time at this event.”

Winners of the London north event will next join the other regional winners in the overall final on June 18, hosted at the University of East London.
