Callum Wilkinson shatters personal best at Enfield Race Walking League

An impressive performance from 15-year-old Callum Wilkinson saw him claim third place and a new personal best at Enfield Race Walking League’s five miles opening fixture.
Wilkinson produced a blistering final mile (8.03) to move from seventh to third place in the men’s race and his time of 43.04 improved his personal best by more than four minutes.
His next race is at Coventry on April 28 over 5km, where he aims to qualify for the Young England team for their annual match against Ireland in Dublin in the summer.
At the weekend event, the individual winners were Fabian Deter (39.35) and Grazina Narviliene, who clocked 42.00.
