Talented Enfield footballer Tyler Campbell is just three games away from securing a professional contract with League One Swindon Town or Leyton Orient.

The 21-year-old winger is one of 88 players to have reached the quarter final stage of Samsung’s Win A Pro Contract competition.

More than 5,000 people entered the contest but Campbell impressed at the regional trials and will now play an 11-a-side match at Staines Town on Sunday November 4.

Campbell said: "After making the final stages in the 2010 competition I’m confident I can go all the way this time.

"The quality on show was a lot better and I think it will be harder this time. I’ve been in the gym preparing myself.

"I wouldn’t have entered this year if I didn’t feel I was ready. I just want to prove I’m good enough to be a professional footballer."

Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio, who will pick one player to join his squad in January 2013, is hopeful of finding someone to join his promotion chasing squad.

"Everyone has worked hard to make it this far in the competition. But there is still a long way to go.

"The players must demonstrate that they have what it takes to play professional football. It is a big step but I’m sure we will find a player who is capable."

Orient boss Russell Slade added: "Competing in Samsung’s Win A Pro Contract means a lot of pressure for the players. But it is a huge opportunity for them to go on and become a professional.

"I’m looking for a player with the right attitude, intelligence on the pitch, and a special quality that makes them stand out - electric pace, a great range or passing ability, or a real physical presence."
