Maybe people who do not use Barrowell Green Recycling Centre are not aware that it is open on Sundays yet closed on Mondays. What a pity.
Now, one could argue, this is desirable so more people could get there on their day off. But, on the other hand, Sunday is a sacred day, indeed a command from God decrees: “Keep the sabbath day holy”. So possibly one could say: “We can go to the centre and still keep the sabbath day holy” – is this acceptable? And there are others who would argue their sabbath is Saturday. Surely these people have ignored the early disciples who changed the Saturday sabbath to Sunday – remembering Jesus rose on the third day and named Sunday The Lord’s Day.
To simplify this confusion, Enfield Borough Council please close Barrowell Green Recycling Centre on The Lord’s Day and reopen on Mondays for obviously this is not right in the eyes of the Almighty and it is ‘righteouness that exalteth a nation’.
