After receiving another fine (at present £50) for the major felony of a parking offence – I am curious to discover where my money will go.
While I fully appreciate parking laws are a requisite that benefit everyone, I do wonder if it is really necessary to charge so much for such a minor act.
Being that Enfield (predominantly Edmonton) has one of the highest rates of knife crime and is host to the infamous postcode rivalry, can I merely suggest that focus is paid upon slightly more pressing matters.
I am confident that the families of the victims would welcome the idea of a youth scheme to address the effects of carrying knives etc, or a much-needed school.
Alternatively, you could always build another Morrisons, Paddy Power or more housing that benefits private landlords instead. Wake up, Enfield.
