So the Labour Party won a seat from the Conservatives in Chase Ward.
In the run up to polling day, a number of letters were printed on the letters page of another news publication on consecutive weeks making personal attacks against the three Conservative councillors for Chase ward.
More than once these letters were given top prominence. At least one of these letters was from someone who, it turns out, does not exist; a fake name and address had been used.
The Labour candidate that won the seat in Chase ward has enjoyed her own column for some time. Meanwhile, the Conservative MP for Enfield North had his column stopped. I’m glad the Enfield Independent was balanced in its choice of letters.
