I am writing about the wonderful minicab drivers who helped me, an elderly woman, to get around in the wintry weather.
My pavements should of course have got the same treatment as the roads and been gritted. In my day, neighbours and residents took care of it for ourselves.
Other countries do this and if anyone doesn’t join in they get fined. People in those days did not have many cars; they either walked or had to rely on a bus or train.
I want these mini cab drivers to get a big thank-you. They treated me as if I was their own grandmother — I always give praise where it is due. Thank you all once again.
