Following ‘Upgrade our footpath’ (Enfield Independent, February 18), according to ‘Our Enfield’ of May, Enfield Council is to upgrade footpaths between Tewkesbury Terrace and Maidstone Road and between Maidstone Road and Shrewsbury Road, new Southgate.

Bowes Ward Labour Councillors Yasemin Brett, Jeff Rodin and Achilleas Georgiou are responsible for this good news.

Readers should be aware that Bowes Ward councillors helpfully hold their surgeries regularly on Saturday mornings between 10.30am and 11.30am at Trinity-at-Bowes Methodist Church, N13.

David Burrowes MP normally has surgeries on the first Friday of most months between 4pm and 6pm at Arnos Grove Library, in New Southgate.

Clearly it is helpful for residents with issues to attend these Bowes Ward Councillor and MP surgeries. Good governance requires joined-up thinking to improve the ward.
