Tottenham Hotspur has agreed a deal worth £50 million with a construction firm to begin work on its new stadium.
A letter to Haringey Borough Council’s planning department from property consultancy Savills announced the deal with M Anderson Construction to carry out the engineering and foundation work for the new stadium in High Road.
The firm has worked with Spurs in the past, building the club's training facilities in Hotspur Way, Enfield in 2012.
With the contract in place, the club must now await the outcome of a legal challenge by Archway Sheet Metal Works, the last remaining firm on the new stadium site.
The firm contesting a decision by Secretary of State Eric Pickles on a compulsory purchase order by Haringey Borough Council so work can begin.
Last month Spurs confirmed the club would have to move away from White Hart Lane for at least one season while the new stadium is built.
