Mobile phones with a combined value of £450 were stolen from two men outside Southbury Road station on Sunday.

The victims, aged 19 and 22, were standing outside the station at 4.50am when five men drove up in a black Fiat Punto believed to have been an S-reg.

After talking to the victims, the suspects drove their car onto the pavement, got out and forceably searched them.

One of the attackers showed the men a silver flick knife, which he threatened to use if they did not cooperate.

The muggers, who were all black and aged between 18 and 20, forced the men to hand over their phones, and £10, and drove off along Kingsway in the direction of Ponders End.

The victims flagged down a passing police car shortly afterwards and reported the attack.
