A 10-year-old boy was subjected to a terrifying ordeal when he was dragged into a graveyard and mugged at knifepoint in Lower Edmonton.

The attack took place on Sunday, between 3.30pm and 4.15pm, in the churchyard of All Saints Church, in Church Street.

The victim had been waiting for a W8 bus in Bounces Road when he saw the youth, aged around 15, and roughly five ft six ins tall, walk towards him from Exeter Road.

Both boys boarded a bus, and when the victim got off in Church Street, his attacker disembarked and pulled him into the churchyard behind a high wall.

The boy was thrown to the floor by the mugger who demanded his mobile phone and then produced a small kitchen knife.

Threatening to jook' his victim, the suspect held the knife to the boys' throat as he handed over a Siemens mobile phone worth £50.

The boy was frogmarched back into Church Street where his attacker boarded another W8 bus heading back towards Edmonton Green station.

The mugger, who waved goodbye to his victim from the bus, was black, spoke with an English accent and was possibly Somalian in origin.

He had short, black hair, and was dressed in a black tracksuit with a white stripe across the front and white stripes on the leggings.
