Volunteers hotfooted it over burning coals to raise £5,000 for a children’s hospice.

Twelve people dared to take on the challenge at The Fallow Buck pub in Clay Hill on Sunday to raise cash for Noah’s Ark children’s hospice based in Barnet.

Sophia Waterhouse, who volunteers at the hospice, said: “The fire walk was nerve-wracking but very exciting experience and feels great once you’ve completed it. I am happy and I had a fun opportunity to raise money for such a great charity.”

The hospice supports children in Enfield, Haringey, Barnet, Camden and Islington with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.
