More than 200 people ran through Trent Park yesterday to raise cash for a theatre company.

Performers from Chickenshed Theatre walked, ran, jogged, cycled around the 10km track in Cockfosters Road. A less demanding 3km route was also on offer.

Four people even completed the 10am fun run by Nordic Walking, which involves walking with two poles to exercise all of the body.

Tamsin Irwin, who works for the theatre, spent two months practising her Nordic Walking for the Chickenshed Challenge.

She said: “It was really good, we have done this for four years but we never had quite so many people – it has got bigger and bigger.”

The team are totting up the money this week, with all proceeds going to Chickenshed Theatre based in Chase Side, Southgate.
