Children learn safety skills in workshop at Dugdale Centre

More than 100 children learnt safety skills during a special workshop yesterday.

Children aged ten and above took part in the two two-hour sessions at the Dugdale Centre in London Road in Enfield Town.

The conference, created by the Enfield Safeguarding Children Board, taught children about how to report problems including dark streets, suspicious strangers, gangs or drugs.

The young people played ice breaker games and took part in a quiz to make sure they were clued up about keeping safe in the borough.

They also enjoyed drama presentations and a speed dating-style session where they could ask adults for safety advice as well as share any concerns.
