Consultation launched into sustainability programme Enfield 2020
5:50pm Wednesday 3rd October 2012 in News By Hermione Wright
Enfield Council is calling on people in the borough to give their views about a money-saving sustainability programme.
The scheme, called Enfield 2020, aims to encourage residents and organisations to cut costs by saving energy, improving the environment and reducing waste.
Enfield Council's cabinet member for environment, Councillor Chris Bond, said: "Living sustainably is about finding new ways of doing things and making it easy for people to make informed choices.
“As a local authority we need to save significant amounts of money in the coming years and doing things in a more sustainable way will help us achieve that aim, while minimising the impact on the front line services our residents so heavily rely upon."
The consultation will run on the Enfield Council website until Thursday, October 18.
