An Enfield MP is holding a series of meetings for people in the borough to discuss national issues.
Enfield North MP Nick de Bois will lead the first Nick Direct meeting on Thursday, October 11, at St Luke’s Church in Forty Hill to debate whether there should be a referendum on Britain’s membership in the European Union.
The Conservative politician said: “It’s pretty rare for MPs to hold public meetings like this but I feel it’s very important in order to stay in touch with public opinion on important matters.”
Five meetings are planned so far with topics including benefits, immigration, the justice system and the coalition Government.
The first session will begin at 6.30pm at the church in Browning Road.
