The Paralympic torch visited a Winchmore Hill supermarket yesterday.

Customers at Sainsbury’s in Green Lanes were given a chance to have their photographs taken with the torch, which is one of 620 used in the 24-hour Paralympic relay.

The torch is travelling to 40 Sainsbury’s stores across the country in a bid to give as many people as possible a chance to feel part of the Games.

The torch visited Sainsbury’s in Edenthorpe on Friday, August 31, and will pay its last visit at the Letchworth store on Sunday, September 9.

It was on display at the Winchmore Hill store between 2pm and 6pm.
