Twenty firefighters tackle Winchmore Hill house fire

Twenty firefighters spent two hours tackling a house fire in Winchmore Hill yesterday.

The roof of the house in Station Road is completely destroyed and significant damage was also caused to the first floor.

Firefighters from Southgate, Tottenham and Edmonton stations were called just after 5pm and the blaze was under control at approximately 7.20pm.

No one was injured.

The house was undergoing refurbishment at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
