A tree to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee was planted in Broomfield Park on Friday.

The Mayor of Enfield, Councillor Kate Anolue, planted the Tulip tree and unveiled a brass plaque to mark the Queen’s 60th year on the throne.

The Friends of Broomfield Park paid for the tree, which was planted in front of the mini golf site by Alderman's Hill, after a donation from Waitrose in Palmers.

MP David Burrowes, Councillor Bambos Charalambous and Councillor Alan Sitkin attended the tree-planting with members of Friends of Broomfield Park.
