Students charged with rioting offences

A 15-year-old boy and four students have been charged for their suspected involvement in the London riots.

The boy, who is from Hornsey is accused of burglary and violent disorder during the disorder in Tottenham in August last year.

The youth was arrested as part of Operation Withern, which saw the police target suspected rioters in a series of overnight raids in their homes on Thursday morning.

Six other teenagers have been arrested after the raids, including a 17-year-old student from Palmers Green.

Leanne Mills, 19, who is unemployed of Landsdowne Road in Tottenham is also charged with burglary.

Shaun O’Neil, 18, of Griffin Road in Tottenham, who is also unemployed, is charged with robbery and violent disorder.

Dean David Suragh, 19, who is a student from Kitchener Road in Tottenham is charged with burglary.

Two 17 year old students – one from Stoke Newington and one from Chingford – have been charged with burglary and violent disorder.
