Trafalgar Lighting apprentices in Edmonton need models for zombie videos

Models unafraid of transforming from flesh-eating zombies to Kate Middleton are sought to star in a theatre firm's video.

Apprentices Natalie Turley, 22, and Max Tutty, 21, who joined Trafalgar Lighting in the Claverings Industrial Estate earlier this month, are producing a theatrical make-up video for the company.

The firm provides television studios with lighting and special effects makeup, as well as stage equipment for local schools. It has also launched a new project to create a website for drama teachers with free technical theatre training videos.

Miss Turley said: “We have set up video space and time for our project to go ahead, commencing May 9, but we now need aspiring models or actresses that would like to feature as our models in the videos.

“This includes being transformed into a zombie, wounds being done, glamour make-up, make-up being done to resemble Kate Middleton’s ‘natural’ look, as well as being made to look old, and body painting to look like a fantasy dancer or even a drag artist.

“We are appealing to both men and women of any age, and these videos are going to be released online via YouTube.”

Miss Turley and Mr Tutty were both claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance after graduating from film and marketing degrees last year and had been turned down from many jobs before being taken on at Trafalgar Lighting.

Managing director Alan Paulus, 52, said last month he wanted to help out-of-work graduates get on the employment ladder and launched an appeal in The Enfield Independent to find apprentices.

After launching the Lily Green Foundation, Mr Paulus was able to offer three-month placements to graduates at his company.

Mr Paulus, who started the business in his parents’ Winchmore Hill garage in 1983, pays the apprentices £100 a week each, and wants to take on six people every year, at an estimated cost of £20,000 to his business.
