TRIBUTES have been paid to a man with a “smile like sunshine” who was murdered in Edmonton last week.

Several bunches of flowers have been laid by friends of Steven Grisales in College Close, yards from where he was stabbed to death.

Included among the flowers and a montage of photos of Steven are touching tributes to the 21-year-old, who died in hospital on Thursday evening.

One, from Courtney, says: “I can't say how much I miss you, I wish you didn't have to go.

“You will always be in our hearts. Gone but never forgotten.”

Another, from Marie, simply says: “A young man with a smile like sunshine, it could light up a room.”

Mr Grisales was attacked at around 7pm on Wednesday, August 31, as he walked to Silver Street station at the end of College Close.

Neighbours reported hearing an argument and ensuing fight in the street, and came outside to see Mr Grisales slumped against the wall and two or three black young men fleeing the scene.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward to help their investigation, to call 0208 721 4961.

A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were arrested and questioned by police in connection with the murder. They have been released on bail until next month.
