A MAN was found lying injured alongside railway tracks near Gordon Hill station this morning.
The man, 62, was spotted about 50 yards south of Gordon Hill station at about 7.55am by the driver of the 7.20am train from Moorgate.
He had a gash to his head and was taken to Chase Farm Hospital. The driver stopped the train and called emergency services.
Services were resumed by 8.33am this morning with delays of up to 40 minutes reported.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "There is no suggestion that the man was struck by a train and police are not treating the incident as suspicious. "Enquiries to establish how the man came to be on the railway line are ongoing."
