ENFIELD Museum Service will present a weekend of free family-themed activities about Tudor life.
The Tudors event will take place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July from 11am-4pm at Forty Hall, Forty Hill.
On Saturday, people are encouraged to explore how Tudors lived and worked. Events include a Tudor Jolly Boat on the lake, a performance of the Pardoners Tale, and traditional Tudor cooking.
On Sunday an excavation by Enfield Archaelological Society will unearth more secrets of the Elsyng Palace, a Tudor palace in the grounds of Forty Hall.
Victoria Sanderson, marketing manager for the Tudors weekend, said the event coincided with the anniversary Henry VIII's succession to the throne.
She said: "We've had various events before, like Tudors in person and an excavation, but we've never brought the two together."
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
