The future of Enfield’s sports pitches will be discussed at a meeting of the council’s cabinet this week.
Councillors will decide whether to adopt a playing pitch strategy (PPS) that will guide future investment in and development of the borough’s sports pitches.
The strategy is an “evidence-based approach” to the provision of sports facilities based on current demand and future population growth.
Its adoption could lead to the protection of existing sports pitches and the provision of training facilities such as 3G pitches.
The cabinet is due to meet at 6pm on Wednesday, April 18 at the Civic Centre Restaurant.
