Floristry students have helped in the preparation of two high profile events.
Students on the Capel Manor College Floristry Advanced Diploma (Level 3) course created 83 autumnal centre-piece arrangements for the Association of Colleges’ Gala Dinner, which is part of their 2017 Annual Conference and Exhibition, hosted at the college.
The conference brings many people working in the further education sector together so they can learn from each other.
Meanwhile, at the annual Association of Colleges London Parliamentary Reception in the Strangers’ Dining Room, at the House of Commons, a festive flower arrangement was on display.
The Right Honourable Stephen Timms, MP for East Ham, sponsored this event.
He thanked the students from Capel Manor College who had created the flower display.
The reception celebrated the contribution London’s further education and sixth form colleges make to social mobility and economic prosperity.
MPs, college principals and CEOs, governors, college senior leaders and stakeholders attended.
