An off-duty policeman has been charged with attacking a member of the public and one of his colleagues.
PC Liam O’Carroll was yesterday (March 23) charged in connection with an incident that happened on October 10 last year in Romford Road, Forest Gate.
The 31-year-old, based in Edmonton, is accused of attacking someone when he was off-duty and then turning on one of the police officers who came to the scene.
He is charged with two counts of assault, two counts of assaulting a police officer, and one count of racially-aggravated assault.
Mr O’Carroll has been bailed and will appear at Thames Magistrates Court on April 25.
