It may have only been a few months since we were packing away our Christmas trees and throwing away the last remains of our turkey and Brussel sprouts, but it seems the festive spirit is still living on at the Dugdale Centre, in Enfield Town.

Following a successful run at Hoxton Hall, in Shoreditch earlier this year, Red Riding Hood will be making an impact at the end of March and during the Easter Holidays.

The show is written by Marc Day, who has written and directed many Christmas pantomimes at Millfield Theatre, Silver Street, Edmonton. After receiving positive reviews for his interpretation of Aladdin in December 2016, he has promised to “give audiences a spring injection of all the same fun”, with his new show.

The show will explore the classic version of the story, which follows the character of Little Red Riding Hood who one day is duped by a wolf disguised as her grandmother.

However, this time there will also be a modern twist blended into the traditional tale, including The Hood’s Pie and Mash shop, which is run by the mother and grandmother. There will also be new character Tommy Tucker, who is Red’s best friend.
