TEENAGERS who live in Ponders End can produce short videos on how they see buildings, parks and streets in their area.

The scheme, run under the umbrella of Neighbourhood Planning, hopes to find out what young people think about their developing area.

An open day to raise awareness about the project and neighbourhood planning and gauge interest in the scheme will be held at The Qube, Ponders End, on Saturday, March 25 from 11am to 3pm.

Malcolm Sleath, who is part of the project, said: “At one time Ponders End had a very strong identity of its own, but industrial, commercial and social changes have meant that it is in danger of becoming just another anonymous part of North East London.

“We hope that young people who live and study in the area will bring some fresh ideas to help create the kind of place in which they would like to live in the future.”
