Wood Green department store to reopen as pound shop
A former department store is to become a pound shop.
The BHS shop in Wood Green closed its doors last month after the company went out of business, but will reopen on Thursday, October 6 as a Poundworld.
Poundworld say the store’s re-opening will create 30 new jobs.
An opening party will take place the following Saturday (October 8), featuring free product samples and a guest appearance from company mascot, Percy the Pound (pictured).
Sasan Jahanbazy, area manager at Poundworld, said: “We’re excited to be opening in Wood Green for the first time.”
