Two people were rescued from a flat fire this morning (Tuesday, July 26).
Fire crews from Edmonton and Southgate were called to the ground floor flat in Pennington Drive. One man had already escaped, but firefighters wearing oxygen masks had to help the other people in the flat to leave.
The Fire Brigade said they were called at 5.59am, and the blaze was under control by 6.40am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
