A polling station in Enfield has had to remove its England flags after complaints they might influence the EU referendum vote.
Mayfield Cricket Club in Palmers Green had hung multiple St George flags in support of England at Euro 2016, however some voters complained it made the polling station look like an “EDL rally”.

Enfield Council spokesman Andrew Golder said the flags were removed at 8am and the authority were confident nobody's vote had been disrupted.
He said: “St George’s flags were hanging in the private sports club as part of the club’s celebration of Euro 2016.
“They were removed promptly this morning by Enfield Council staff.”
The Electoral Commission said there was nothing against the law about having flags in a polling station, and the club had taken down the flags voluntarily.
