A planned appearance by one of the country’s most famous trains has been cancelled.
The Flying Scotsman had been planned to pass through Enfield Chase station tonight at around 8.55pm, but this will not happen due to a fault with the engine.
The carriages will still travel, but will instead be pulled by a diesel engine, after the Scotsman broke down in York.
Enthusiast Dave Wadley from Enfield said: "I'm obviously disappointed as seeing a steam train through Enfield Chase is rare anyway. The Scotsman would have been a bit special."
We've had official confirmation the #FlyingScotsman engine is NOT on track tonight due to a fault; the carriages are behind a Diesel engine.
