A campaign has been launched to improve recycling in the borough and cut levels of waste.
Enfield Council is raising awareness about rubbish with their campaign, “It’s easy to recycle,” by teaching people what items can and cannot be recycled to prevent the wrong type of rubbish being sent to landfills.
The council currently recycles 39 per cent of its waste, but the aim is to increase to 50 per cent by 2020, as this will save the Council about £1 million a year.
