People will enjoy an early Christmas treat as more than 1,000 mince pies are delivered across the borough.
It will be a ‘Hap-pie Christmas’ in Enfield and we have not even reached December as the Tesco Mince Pie Van rolls into town today.
Paul Harrison and Vanessa Collier have been dropping mince pies off today and spreading the festive cheer
Mr Harrison said: “I’m really excited about the Mince Pie Run; it’s definitely a good way to get people in the festive mood.
“I’ll be gently knocking on people’s doors in Enfield, handing out free packs of Tesco Mince Pies and saying hello.
“But, if I don’t see you, make sure you see me, tweet a picture of my van, and then there’ll be a pack of mince pies winging their way to you faster than Father Christmas’ very own reindeer-drawn sleigh.”
Local Tesco Store Manager, at Ponders End Extra which will be supporting the Mince Pie Man this Christmas, added:
“This Christmas, we want to give those little extra helps to people that are going to make them feel special, and this their best Christmas yet.”
The supermarket are calling on people to get involved by tweeting to @Tesco_London using the hashtag #HappieChristmas if they see the mince pie van.
