RUNNERS took to the streets to raise much-needed cash for a cancer charity.

The run, which took TSB staff and customers from Barnet to Enfield and back, raised £615 for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care, based in Union Street, Barnet.

Money raised from the run, which took place on Friday, September 25, will be spent on exercise sessions for cancer patients.

Barbara Moody, head of fundraising at Cherry Lodge Cancer Care, said: “We are hugely grateful to TSB and its local Partners in Barnet. The money they are raising and the general support we’re getting is helping us to deliver really important services in Barnet.

“Having major businesses like TSB supporting us locally is a great way of making our community stronger.”

Tara Bridgeman, bank manager at TSB in High Street, Barnet said: “Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is a vital part of our local community and we’re really proud to have them as our Local Charity Partner.

“Our team in Barnet have worked hard putting in a lot of time and dedication by to make this event a success. We have really enjoyed our charity run and it is fantastic to know the difference that our efforts will make.”
