Friends of a teaching assistant and fitness model stabbed to death in Enfield have paid homage to the 28-year-old.

Michael Adegbite, 28, from Chingford, was stabbed in Lackmore Road, Enfield, around 7pm last Sunday after arranging to sell his MacBook laptop via Gumtree.

The 28-year-old victim was accompanied by a friend had arranged a meeting point to sell a laptop, in Auckland Close, Enfield.

He was met by three men who attempted to rob him of the laptop computer. The victim and his friend were able to snatch back the laptop before getting back into their car.

A short time later, a second friend joined the victim, and the three men sought to find the group who had attempted to rob them.

They confronted three men who they believed to be the robbers where a scuffle broke out and the 28-year-old was fatally stabbed.

Tributes poured in for the fitness fanatic had trials for Wolverhampton Wanderers in his youth and was a football coach at local Eastside United FC in Hackney

Friend and former Arsenal footballer Jay Emmanuel-Thomas posted on social media: “The way life works ain't fair, but you're in a better place so guide us and protect us to happiness and success.

“When will the youth of today change, taking people's lives is not cool.”

Known to many as ‘Bengz’ social media site Twitter was awash with tributes.

@OfficialJP tweeted: “RIP Bengz, he was a good guy and down to earth.”

@JusCharlie added: “we been on so many tours together, we play football together, we party together , we eat and laugh together..... But they say the good die young so rest in peace my brother I see you in the next life”

Three 18-year-old have been arrested and remanded in custody in connection with Mr Adegbite’s death.
