Food, music and dance aims to engender community spirit at a youth-lead community event.
One Enfield is a community project put together by young people which aims to reach put to all sections of society through culture.
A launch event will be held in Sedcote Road, Ponders End, on July 4 featuring food, music, dance and art from individuals and groups that reflect the varied make up of Enfield’s diverse community.
The event will feature Enfield acts including True Bhangra Beatz, West End stage performer Ethan Smith, singer Eloise Thomas and Winchmore’s Bollywood Dance group.
Activities including a climbing wall, inflatables and futsal will also be on offer.
One Enfield founder member Luke Orros, 16, said “We’re hoping that we will bring all these different aspects of the community together to improve the community cohesion within Enfield”.
The members of One Enfield came together through their shared love of scouting, the ethos of which has lead to their project.
