A man from Enfield has been named as one of the suspects arrested in connection with the Hatton Garden heist.

Hugh Doyle, 48, was arrested at his home in Enfield last night as the police raided homes across the borough, in east London and Dartford, Kent.

Three other men, aged 67, 74, and 58, have been arrested at addresses in Enfield, as well as a 59-year-old from east London and 76 and 50-year-old men from Dartford.

A further two men, aged 58 and 43, were arrested yesterday.

During the Easter holiday weekend, a gang of robbers abseiled down a lift shaft and drilled through two metres of concrete in a raid in central London's jewellery quarter, stealing £200million in diamonds, gold, and other gems.

At approximately 10.30am yesterday police sent more than 200 officers to 12 addresses across North London and Kent.

Investigations continue.
