A woman has praised her family support after opening her second restaurant at two different train stations.

After opening her first cafe at Alexandra Palace station last year, Adele Young has now launched her second cafe, named The Yard at Palmers Green train station, in Aldermans Hill, Palmers Green.

The former kebab shop took months to strip back by her son David who also helps with the day-to-day running of the two cafes along with his five sisters, Hayley, Courtney, Chelsea, Ashley and Bonnie.

The cafe will be open seven days a week and Ms Young, of Broomfield Avenue, opposite her new cafe, is hopeful to have live bands late at night to help tempt people commuting to and from the station.

She said: “It’s a great to have opened a store in Palmers Green, my home of the past seven years. Each shop has its character and this one certainly feels special.

“By day we will have everything for people commuting and by night we will have oysters, champagne and hopefully live music which will give it a great atmosphere.”

The store will be using artisan bread and sourcing ingredients locally.

At an official opened by Great Northern service, who run trains through the two stations the Yard is located, Keith Jipps, passenger service director, said: “I am really please to be able to support Adele in her second venture at one of Great Northern’s stations.

“The Yard offers fresh, great quality food made with local ingredients and is perfect for passengers looking to grab a light bite at lunch time or something heartier in the evening from The Yard’s pizza oven.

“Adele and her family have worked hard to create two warm and welcoming cafes for our passengers and passers-by alike.”
